March 12 (Reuters) - The suspect in an episode of gun violence on Thursday at a Detroit-area synagogue was shot dead, according to a law enforcement official, with no other casualties from the incident immediately reported.
One suspect was found dead in his vehicle after he rammed it into a synagogue. One security guard was injured at the scene. There are no other reported injuries.

A suspect is dead and a security guard injured after a crash and shooting incident at a Jewish synagogue in Michigan Thursday.
The suspect, who was not identified, drove down a hallway at Temple Israel in West Bloomfield, Mich., before being engaged by temple security, authorities said.
The shooting happened around 7:43 p.m. in the 100 block of North Lotus Avenue.
